Moellmer Steps Up to CPMA Board
Rebecca Moellmer, DPM, was elected to the Board of Directors of the California Podiatric Medical Association during the organization’s 97th Annual House of Delegates, which took place in Anaheim this past June.
Immediate Past President of the Inland Podiatric Medical Society, for which she received CPMA’s 2009 Society President of the Year Award, Dr. Moellmer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) and is board certified in foot and ankle surgery. She is a graduate of University of Washington, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology. Dr. Moellmer received her medical training at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree in 2003. After earning her DPM degree Dr. Moellmer completed her primary podiatric medical residency at Gardena’s Community Hospital. Her podiatric medicine residency was augmented with bimonthly visits to the Red Cross Hospital in Mexicali, Mexico to treat pediatric clubfoot and other complex rear foot disorders. Dr. Moellmer completed her surgical residency at Coast Plaza Doctor’s Hospital in Norwalk, California, where she focused on forefoot deformities and diabetic wounds and limb salvage. She followed-up by a one-year sports medicine fellowship.
A private practitioner with offices in Ontario and Fontana, Dr. Moellmer is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine. She has served on a number of CPMA committees, and is active not only in the Association and profession but her local community as well, volunteering her free time to the Special Olympics. She enjoys running, Wii sport competitions with her husband, reading, crafts and traveling. Dr. Moellmer resides with her husband Cade in Corona, California.
