Vista Podiatrist Selected for State Association’s Board of Directors
Sacramento, CA – Ronald R. Vanderheyden, DPM, of Vista, California
was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the California
Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) during the organization’s 93rd annual House of Delegates in Anaheim, California.
The nearly 100-year old organization is the state's leading
professional medical society for foot and ankle specialists and
represents over 1000 doctors of podiatric medicne (DPMs) from the
California-Oregon border to California's Border with Mexico.

Past President of the San Diego/Imperial Podiatric Medical Society, Dr.
Vanderheyden is Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric
Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine (ABPOPPM), a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
After completing his undergraduate work in chemistry at Michigan State University
where he graduated with honors, Dr. Vanderheyden earned his Doctor of
Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from Illinois College of Podiatric
Medicine in 1986. He completed his podiatric surgical residency training at Harvard Medical School affiliated Cambridge Hospital in Massachusetts, where he served as Chief Podiatric Surgical Resident. Dr. Vanderheyden is on staff at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, California.
