Sacramento Area Podiatric Physician Steps Up to Presidency of State Association
Ernest J. Hook, DPM, of Folsom, California, was tapped as President of the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) at the organization’s 94th Annual meeting of its House of Delegates, which took place in Anaheim, California in June. Dr. Hook will officially take the CPMA presidential reigns on January 1.
Dr. Hook had recently served as President-Elect, after having first served as a Director-at-Large, Secretary-Treasurer and Vice President of the Association. Before being elected to the CPMA Board of Directors in 2002, Dr. Hook had previously served as President and Vice President of the Sacramento Valley Podiatric Medical Society. During his tenure on the CPMA Board of Directors, he has served on a number of CPMA committees, and has spearheaded the Association’s Shoes for Needy Children Program.

A Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) and Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME), Dr. Hook is on staff at
An avid baseball fan, Dr. Hook has been a team sponsor and coach of the Folsom American Little League. He has also participated in the Sacramento Men’s Senior Baseball Leagues since 1995. And, he and his son Joshua are loyal supportive fans of the Sacramento RiverCats, triple AAA minor league baseball team.
Dr. Hook and his wife Robbie reside in Folsom with their two sons Sean and Joshua. Their daughter Jamie Rose is entering her senior year at San Diego State University (SDSU).
