Dean Nakadate, DPM, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) during the

 

Association’s 94th Annual House of Delegates, in Anaheim in June.  The state’s leading professional society for foot and ankle specialist, CPMA represents over 1,000 doctors of podiatric medicine from throughout California

 Past president of the San Diego/Imperial County Podiatric Medical Society, Dr Nakadate is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS); a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and a consultant for the California Board of Podiatric Medicine.  He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.  After graduating from “The Point,” he served as an officer in the US Army Infantry where he earned numerous commendations including the Army Ranger tab, Airborne badge, and Expert Infantryman’s badge.  

 

Dr. Nakadate received his medical education at San Francisco’s California College of Podiatric Medicine (CCPM), now the California School of Podiatric Medicine (CSPM) at Samuel Merritt College.  After receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree, he completed an extensive three-year surgical residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Hayward, California. 

 

Dr. Nakadate practices at the Scripps Clinical Medical Group in La Jolla.  He resides in San Diego with his wife Lisa and their two sons.
